Dear parents and carers,
The Australian Education Union has called on its members to take stop work action on Thursday 23 July 2026.
Seymour Flexible Learning Centre is expected to be significantly impacted, with a number of staff (teachers and other employees) not available onsite on this day.
To assist us with planning, it would be helpful if families could let us know their current intention regarding whether their child will attend school on Thursday 23 July. This is simply to help us understand the likely number of students and plan accordingly.
We anticipate we may need to prioritise attendance for children of critical service workers or families with special circumstances who are unable to make alternative arrangements.
Due to the reduced number of teachers onsite, it is likely that the school will operate a supervision only program, rather than a normal teaching and learning program.
If your child is likely to attend please notify school reception or their learning mentor.
